Matt has always been the type to teach himself whatever the job requires. He studied graphic design in school and spent six years working in the field, then decided to teach himself web design and development just to see if he could pull it off. That leap turned into a job at a marketing agency, and a few years in, he decided to go out on his own so he could take care of clients the way he always thought they deserved. Today he runs Guerrilla Bee Creative Design Agency, which serves as Pride Lending’s marketing, design, and web team.
Matt was friends with Andrew long before he ever worked with Pride Lending, and it was the company’s focus on the LGBTQ+ community and underserved borrowers that pulled him in. As a member of that community himself, working somewhere built around equality and access felt like the right choice, and it’s what keeps him invested today.
At Pride Lending, Matt sits on the leadership team, helping set quarterly rocks and keep the company moving toward its goals. He builds and maintains the website, manages blog content, runs SEO, and keeps an eye on analytics to make sure the site is bringing in organic traffic and turning visitors into applicants. He’s also the one making sure everything that goes out, from web pages to printed materials, stays consistent and sounds like Pride Lending.
Outside of work, Matt plays softball, travels whenever he gets the chance, and can spend an entire afternoon at a coffee shop just people watching and enjoying the vibe. He and his partner Eddy have two dogs together. Matt likes being himself around people, awkward moments included, and isn’t shy about bringing his personality into the room once he gets to know you.
